Welcome; we take pride in our love for all creatures, great and small, and our passion is reflected in our diverse range of beloved pets. We breed and show our dogs with love and care, from Dobermanns to Boston Terriers and Kerry Blue Terriers. But our animal family doesn’t stop there – we also have five miniature horses, a donkey, four turtles, and six guinea pigs to keep our guest’s company and us at Wags Pet Hotel.
As owners and operators of Wags Pet Hotel since 2012, we’re dedicated to providing a home-away-from-home for pets of all shapes and sizes. We even have a retail shop for all your furry friend’s needs!
We previously owned and operated a cattery in Christchurch and exhibited Ragdoll Cats. Martyn is a specialist Dobermann Judge. With Lisa’s experience as an Executive Councillor for Dogs New Zealand and Chair of the Canine, Health and Welfare committee, we’re passionate about the health and happiness of all animals. Owner/Operator at Wags Pet Hotel
Since operating Wags Pet Hotel, I have enjoyed caring for the dogs and cats that stay and play. Together with my Husband Martyn and daughter Cassidy, we are well known for breeding and campaigning pedigree Dobermanns, Boston Terriers and Kerry Blue Terriers.
Over the years, we have also owned five ragdoll cats and currently have 7 Dobermanns, 3 Bostons, 2 Kerry Blues, 5 Mini Horses, 1 Donkey and 4 Turtles- so we are pretty busy! My interests are showing and breeding dogs and horses and spending time with my family.

My Parents and I have owned Wags Pet Hotel for ten years; I worked at Wags during my Uni days and have been back and working at Wags full-time for the past four months.
I was born into the Dog Show world and have shown Dobermanns since I was three years old and have had plenty of experience working with all animals.
With my partner Sam I own 2 Dobermanns called Rocco and Ru. I am studying Canine Massage and Rehab and look forward to adding this to Wag’s services in 2024. I am a qualified personal trainer and nutritionist. In my spare time, you’ll find me at Pilates, the beach, studying, renovating my house, or hanging with friends, family and my 2 Dobermanns!

I am the Wags Pet Hotel Weekday Manager, looking after all the dogs and cats who come to stay and the Wags staff! I have been in the dog world for 30 years showing, breeding and judging obedience.
I have 6 Golden Retrievers, a Horse and 2 Cats. When I’m not working at Wags, my interests are showing dogs, horse breeding, racing, and gardening!
