TERMS AND CONDITIONS

When using our boarding or daycare services at Wags Pet Hotel & Doggy Daycare the following terms and conditions will apply, and acceptance of the terms and conditions remain from the first day of boarding until your pet is collected or for Daycare the terms and conditions remain in place from your pets first day and covers your pet for boarding too.

Medical Care:

At Wags Pet Hotel if we believe your pet needs medical care, we will do our best to contact you or your emergency contact and seek medical attention from your own vet if possible or our vet of choice.  If we are unable to contact you and your pet does need medical attention, we will carry out what is necessary to keep your pet comfortable on the advice of the vet or our experience.  Any costs associated with your pet’s care is your responsibility and we will endeavour to keep you informed as soon as possible or practical.

If your pet has an accident or injury or causes an injury to another dog or person, you will be charged any associated costs.  Please be mindful dogs playing together in a social environment may have the odd disagreement and we can’t always prevent this however the team at Wags will always do their best to minimize this.

If your pet causes or attempts to cause harm to staff or customers then they will be dismissed from being a customer.  If your dog bites or attempts to bite a person, animal control may be advised.  Your emergency contact person must collect the pet immediately or other services may be contacted to remove the animal.  Staff safety is really important to us.

Vaccinations:

Vaccinations are required for the various diseases on the recommendation of your vet.  It is your responsibility to ensure your pet is fully vaccinated for the recommend vaccines and at the appropriate intervals.

Canine Cough (also known as canine infectious tracheobronchitis) is a highly contagious respiratory disease. Dogs commonly contract Canine cough at places where large amounts of canines congregate, such as dog parks, training groups, walks down the road and dog play dates. Dogs can spread it to one another through airborne droplets in a 5km radius, direct contact (e.g., touching noses), or contaminated surfaces (including footpaths, water/food bowls). It’s highly treatable in most dogs especially if they have been vaccinated against it but can be more severe in puppies younger than six months of age and immunocompromised dogs. Although most cases of canine cough are caused by Bordetella, some are caused by other agents, including the bacteria Bordetella bronchiectasis, canine adenovirus type 2, canine parainfluenza virus, canine respiratory coronavirus, and mycoplasmas, so the vaccine may not prevent your dog from catching the disease.  If you notice your pet coughing, please do not bring them in as we will need to turn you away.  Canine cough may not present itself for 10 days prior, however it is still infectious at this stage so it can be hard for us to detect.  Please speak with your veterinarian about your vaccinations.

Payment:

Payment of your pets’ care is required on arrival of your pet. Full payment for the whole booked in stay is payable. If you cancel your booking without giving us adequate notice full payment is required.  If any pet is left in our care without contact from the owner or emergency carer within 7 days after the expected collection date and after Wags Pet Hotel have tried to contact the owner/caregiver on the contact details provided, Wags Pet Hotel will consider the pet to be abandoned. Wags Pet Hotel will then take necessary steps towards finding the pet a new home. Day care concession cards are available to purchase however they are non-refundable but never expire. Can be transferred to a different dog if you no longer have the one named on your card.

Damage:

If you pet causes damage to the facilities whilst with us, we may seek reimbursement for repairs or replacement.

Items from home:

Wags Pet Hotel will supply all bedding and toys so there is no need to bring items from home.  However, if you do choose to bring items from home for your pets stay please label them and we will do our best to keep them safe, however we are not liable for missing or damaged items.  As this is a different environment to your pet’s normal home, pets can chew beds and toys.  Please do not bring bones as these are a choking hazard.

What to bring:

Please have a plain collar on your dog, no choke chains, and bring your dog in on a leash.  If your pet is on a special diet, or medication, please bring that with you.  There is a $1 charge per day for medication, see our rates page.  All Cats need to be brought in a secure cat cage.  Please bring your vaccination card for your first visit.

Daycare Hours:

Our Daycare service operates 7 days a week except two weeks prior and post-Christmas.  We open at 7.30am, however if you arrive Monday to Friday prior to 7.30am by arrangement please place your dog in the crates provided in Reception and clip the lead onto the door of the crate.  We are not responsible for your dog if the crate door wasn’t shut correctly, or it breaks out.

Terms and conditions are deemed to be accepted by the owner or caregiver of the pet once the pet has arrived for daycare or boarding with Wags Pet Hotel & Doggy Daycare. These terms and conditions may change at Wags Pet Hotel & Doggy Daycare’s discretion.
