We strive to provide everything your cat needs to call home during their stay with us!

We are excited to have our new Cattery open and ready to complement our boarding kennels.

We cater for single cat or large cat families as our lovely big suites have three levels of living space and a private large outdoor area for bird watching and sunbathing.

Our gorgeous Cattery is surrounded by our many pets, Miniature Horses, Donkeys, Turtles, and Ducks.

The Cattery is situated away from the dog area, and each cattery unit has privacy panels, so the shy kitty doesn’t need to see who the neighbour is.

At Wags Pet Hotel, we understand that leaving your feline family member can be stressful. Because of this, we take extra care to ensure your kitty is pampered by our professional, knowledgeable and caring team. Every cat is unique, and our experienced staff can accommodate just about any personality that arrives.

We also offer our kitty guests, our cat enrichment program treats whilst they stay with us.  This includes Licki Mats, puzzle toys, cat toy teasers and delicious treats.

Included in each suite:

  • We have fully heated units, which are especially great if an older or convalescing kitty stays with us.
  • 3 levels of fun; viewpoint perch, raised dining area, a quiet corner separated potty area.
  • Cat beds
  • Access to the outdoor playroom
  • Daily housekeeping service to keep the litter box and living quarters clean and comfortable
  • Meal service

Frequently Asked Questions

If in doubt always ask – we are here for you

How do I know if my cat will like boarding and how do I prepare them?

As you start to pack, your cat may be curious about the whole process, so it’s best to let them know what their vacation will involve. Cats actually understand more than many think – with some reassuring words and an explanation of the details, they’ll adjust better when staying away from home.

The last thing we want is kitty running off if they sense something fishy – but fear not, as confining them indoors on departure day should keep everyone happy!

If it’s the first time your kitty has visited Wags Pet Hotel, you may find surprising behaviour, but don’t be startled if your kitty hisses and growls when they arrive. Although cats are often solitary creatures, with some time in their comfy bed surrounded by their interactive environment and our staff doting on them, they will quickly dissolve into purring bundles of affection ready for snuggles and playtime!

What type of food will you serve to my cat when they stay at Wags Pet Hotel?

We feed Royal Canin premium dry food, which is available all day, and many types of wet food are available. You are also welcome to bring your own if you have a special diet.

How long can I leave my cat at the boarding facility?

Are you looking for a long-term stay? Please contact our office directly; we are happy to discuss this with you however we often have long term stays

Does my cat have to have up to date vaccinations to stay at Wags Pet Hotel?

Yes. All pets must have up-to-date. Owners must submit proof from their veterinarian that they have received vaccinations.

  • Minimal requirements for cats; feline viral rhinotracheitis, feline leukaemia, feline calicivirus, feline parvovirus, chlamydophila felis and feline chlamydia

All vaccinations for cats are to be valid for the length of stay.

We also recommend parasite control – flea and tick prevention.

We take security very seriously for all the pets staying with us – it is one of our top priorities. We have multi-door systems, and escape artists have no chance here at Wags Pet Hotel. We also provide your furry feline with a stimulating and comforting environment, so find that cats are happy to stay where they are!

See our safety section

Can my cats share a suite?

Absolutely!  Our suites easily accommodate two cats from the same household in each suite and we have two enormous family suites that can accommodate four kittys from the same household.

What are the suites like that my cat will be staying in?

Our cat suites are all designed to encourage discovery and play.  In each suite we have ramps and sleeping platforms, individual outdoor areas to relax and watch the miniature horses or turtles and scratching posts and toys.  Your kitty will love their holiday accommodation.  We also have electrical plugs in some units to provide heated bedding for our elderly guests.

What will you do if my cat has a medical emergency or gets sick while boarding?

We take the health and well-being of all cats visiting us very seriously, so it’s important that they are in good health before checking in for their staycation. If an emergency occurs during their stay with us, we will make every effort to reach out first – then provide top-quality care from one of our experienced on-call 24/7 vets (all costs will be covered by you as per our terms and conditions).

If we cant get a hold of the owner we will then get in contact with their emergency contact that we get when they drop off and if required either the cats vet or our vet depending on the situation.

What is Wags Pet Hotel’s policy on administering medication to boarding cats?

We absolutely understand (we have cats, too!); some cats have extra special needs, which is always of concern to owners when they leave them.

We need enough medications to cover your time away.

  • Administering medications, $1.00 daily.
  • Injectable medications, $3.00 daily.

We can assure you that love for them is no additional charge, see our Rates Page

Shall I bring cat toys and bedding with my cat?

All bedding and toys are provided, and kitties must be in a kitty crate when they arrive.

I know some cat boarding facilities charge for each or part of the day; how do you charge?

See our Our Rates; we charge as per calendar day.

Are you open on public holidays?

Our boarding facilities are operational, so you are welcome to book your pet into stay however we are closed for admissions and collections on all public holidays.
